Introduction
I constructed this web page as the Educational-Informative Center for Molecular Biology and Genetics. It purpose is education or informing those peoples who are researching in those scientific domains.
At 1838. Schlaiden and Schwann found that cells are the fundamental particles that build animal and plant tissues. Therfore, this page is devoted to molecular organization of the cell.
With molecular biology is the science that investigates heredity of all living beings -- genetics, and I could say that it is the basic science of life. Genetics is the science composed form many domains, for eyample, as human genetics, medical genetics, genetics of prokaryotes, genetics of viruses, cytogenetics, and so on. Genetics is therfore, science that is usable in all biological organizations.
Cross in 21th century began with biotechnology revolution, which labels progress of molecular biology and genetics in direction of achieving special methods that can be used in the genetic engineering. We could use genetic engineering for developind many of methods for gene therapy. The recombinant DNA technology as the basis of gene therapy is progressing every day. Although biotechnology could bring negative consequences -- as for example, development of biological weaposn -- we couldn't allow us to stop progress of biotechnology, because it could be very useful, as I said, in the gene therapy.
If we study genetic code we will establish that it contains 64 codons -- 61 for 20 species of amino acids and 3 for "stop" codons (UAG, UAA, UGA). Genetic code is almost unique for all the living beings, except mitochondria. As we have seen, 61 codon codes for 20 amino acids, which means that one amino acid could have many different codons, so we coul say that genetic code is degenerate. We could see also, that on variability of species affects just little changes, so, by researching the smallest particles we could see the properties those biggest and most complicated -- activity of microcosms directly reflects activity of macrocosms.
I hope that you will enjoy in studying of those perfect organizations on the molecular levels, and that this page will contribute in your education.
